People Management International LLC is an international consultancy founded in 1961, which serves a variety of clients that value their human capital.

Since 1961 People Management has pioneered and developed a process called SIMA® (System for Identifying Motivated Abilities) that enables the identification of an individual’s natural operating style and the making of predictions regarding that person’s satisfaction and performance. This is important because job failure often results more because of incompatible operating styles and poor job fit than a lack of technical knowledge and experience – particularly in positions of management, leadership, and influence.

Organizations and individuals using SIMA have a competitive edge because they can assess "fit" and predict how optimal performance can be gained.

Our mission is to facilitate the success of individuals and organizations by focusing on fitting people to professions, endeavors and relationships that will accommodate the best use of their innate strengths and motivational drives. People Management has offices and affiliations in twenty-six locations throughout the world including: Australia, Canada, England, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Hartford, Lexington, Livermore, Madison, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York metro area, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and St. Petersburg. Its corporate office is in Hartford (Avon) Connecticut. Each office and affiliation is independently owned.

Four of People Management’s locations (Avon, Colorado Springs, Minneapolis, and Nashville) are actively involved in retained executive search and work together to satisfy client search needs. Many of our professionals have advanced degrees including doctorate degrees. Our research capability is extensive, and we rarely use contract research.

Our collective network of contacts across industries, disciplines and countries not only makes us competitive, but also proactive in being able to deliver timely and accurate information to our clients.

Since its inception, People Management has focused its business applications on helping organizations to improve results through a better understanding and positioning of people and helping people to make good decisions about work.

We have evaluated or assessed more than 75,000 individuals through an assessment tool identified as SIMA® (System for Identifying Motivated Abilities). People Management has also licensed SIMA to various organizations, and SIMA was also a major component of the program, "The Stuff Americans Are Made Of," developed by the American Society for Quality and the Disney Institute. Articles and books (nationally and internationally), as well as dissertations, have been written based on or citing SIMA.

"Job Fit" is important to us and critical to the success of our clients and individuals. By focusing on "job fit," we undertake a deep understanding of our clients’ needs, as well as market dynamics and the specific competencies required for success in a given position and industry – resulting in a pool of highly qualified candidates.

People Management has considerable experience in different industries and businesses. We are extremely adaptable in that we are constantly taking on new and challenging assignments with success (i.e., placement of candidates with a consistent focus on "job fit"). Business and Professional Services: We have conducted searches for individuals from executive to middle-level professionals in: consulting, investment, accounting, actuarial, brokerage, and human resource management.

Healthcare Delivery: We have extensive experience with a broad range of hospitals and health care systems.

Industrial and Technical Products: Our client base of these products is diverse and extensive including: nuclear, utilities, unconventional gas technology, pharmaceutical, medical supplies/devices, optical communications, high temperature plastics, automotive, aerospace, chemical specialty, engineering, and transformers.

Insurance/Managed Care/Financial Services: With our corporate headquarters near Hartford, Connecticut, the insurance capital of the world, we have been heavily involved in searches in: insurance, managed care, banking and investments.

Technology and e-Business: We serve a wide range of companies – computer and software, telecommunications, "brick and click," and small start-up firms. We are constantly seeking out executive talent in this dynamic and ever-changing market.
