Ronald R. Evans, Managing Director

Ron Evans brings more than twenty years of executive recruiting and consulting expertise his clients.  In addition to working twelve years with international consultancies Korn/Ferry International, Ernst & Young and Ward Howell International, Ron was the founder and CEO of ESearch Group, a boutique firm delivering human capital solutions to venture capital and private equity investors.   Organizations, boards and investors typically retain Ron and PMI for three reasons:

1)    Successful candidates –with many placements enjoying 10+ years of success in their new jobs, Ron’s ability to match organizations with successful leaders is well established;

2)    Access to talent –savvy investors and board members understand that boutique firms offer greater access to talent while larger firms are hampered by off limits and blockage restrictions;

3)    Future insight –utilization of the SIMA process assures an objective candidate assessment that accurately predicts future performance before hiring.

Ron’s selection and evaluation expertise spans general management roles (CEO, COO, GM) and extends across heads of finance, sales and marketing and technology (software and engineering).  Clients range from international consumer product businesses, professional services firms, venture capital funds and manufacturing enterprises.  Businesses as diverse as The Gambrinus Companies, Harley-Davidson, Pennzoil, Ernst & Young, Connecticut Innovations and The Sachem Fund of Yale University have trusted Ron with their most sensitive senior management and leadership selection issues.

Ron began his executive recruiting career as an Associate with Korn/Ferry International.  After several years with KFI he was hired by Ernst & Young in Dallas, where he served as Manager, Senior Manager and finally practice leader for Human Resource Consulting for E&Y’s Southern Consulting Region.  Ron joined Ward Howell International in 1991 as Managing Director in the Dallas office and remained there until launching ESearch Group in 1994.  In 2004 ESearch Group merged with People Management International.

Prior to his career in executive recruiting, Evans was an account executive with Information Retrieval Methods, designing and managing sophisticated retail marketplace systems for leading consumer product companies including Procter & Gamble, Miller Brewing, Mattel Toys, General Motors, and Johnson & Johnson.  Ron began his career developing and delivering management seminars for UCAC, the nation’s largest cost control service for unemployment tax liability.  Clients included U.S. Homes, Wyatt Cafeterias, and Crum and Forester Insurance Companies.

Ron received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 1979.  He is President and Chairman of the Board of the Avon Chamber of Commerce and has served on the boards of Dallas Helps, Fairpark Friendship Center and Fellowship Bible Church.  Ron has been a featured executive recruiter in the Wall Street Journal on line edition (see www.careerjournal.com) and is author of the popular executive job changing guide “Kiss Your Resume Goodbye”.  Ron and his wife of 20 years are the proud parents of three sons.
